Richard Radcliffe FInstF Cert

Richard Radcliffe runs all Smee & Ford focus groups and training courses and consults on how to develop effective marketing plans for your charity.

Richard has over 25 years experience in the voluntary sector - including being executive chairman of Smee & Ford - the only company to specialise purely in legacy research and fundraising worldwide. He started in fundraising with the MS Society, became Director of Fundraising of the Order of St John (St John Ambulance and the St John Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem) and then a director of the Charities Aid Foundation.

He has specialised in legacy fundraising for almost 15 years and met over 9000 donors, volunteers and service users in circa 950 legacy focus groups which he has held for almost 300 charities.

He developed and ran the first ever ground breaking trustee training course in City University. He works with clients, and lectures, not only in the UK but also in USA, Canada, Denmark, Israel, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Singapore, Australasia and Malaysia.

In a voluntary capacity he has been Treasurer of the Institute of Fundraising (and was a trustee for six years, and chaired the UK Fundraising Convention) and was recently Chairman of the International Fundraising Congress (the largest fundraising congress in the world outside America).

After all that self acclaim he is just a normal guy who loves the world of legacies!
